Job Description

We are looking for a skilled system security specialist to join our team. As a system security specialist, you will help protect our computer systems and networks from cyber-attacks and unauthorized access. You will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining security measures to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our data.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate potential security threats
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures and best practices to safeguard our computer systems and networks
• Monitor and analyze system logs to identify potential security incidents and take appropriate measures to prevent or mitigate attacks
• Assess and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, PCI DSS, HIPAA etc.
• Conduct security audits and risk assessments
• Provide training and awareness programs to ensure all employees understand and adhere to security policies and procedures
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that security is incorporated into all aspects of our technology systems and processes
• Maintain and update security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and anti-virus software
• Respond to security breaches, incidents and investigate security incidents
• Stay up-to-date with new security technologies and trends in the marketplace

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in system security
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as CIS Controls, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, etc.
• Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion prevention/detection systems, anti-virus/anti-malware software, vulnerability management tools, etc.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• CISSP, CISM, CISA or other relevant certifications are a plus
• Familiarity with cloud security and its methodologies would be beneficial.
• Experience with compliance regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS is preferred
